Study to bathroom conversion
 West Mersea

Carolyn wanted us to convert her large study into a bespoke luxury bathroom, as she felt there was significant unused space. Additionally, she requested to convert her existing smaller bathroom into a study, requiring us to switch the rooms around. Our experienced bathroom designers were up to the challenge

During the project, we encountered a substantial amount of replumbing work and a few surprises, including a "floating" brick wall that had seemingly been there for an untold number of years due to the house's age. Thankfully, we successfully resolved the issue, averting a potentially very dangerous incident if this had not been fixed by our skilled bathroom fitters.

During the design consultation, Carolyn expressed her vision for a modern and warm color scheme, with a preference for shades of green or blue.

Objectives

  • Our bathroom fitters had to do extensive plumbing work to reposition fixtures in previously unplumbed areas.

  • Our bathroom installers had to remove the door to the cupboard in the office and remove a wall inside the cupboard to make that space useable via the adjacent bedroom.

  • Made safe a hazardous "Floating" brick wall after discovering poor previous work that had left a very dangerous surprise.

  • Very old property made for a few surprises.

Jonny the designer was incredibly patient as I changed my mind regularly but he was lovely and kept going until I was 100% happy. James the plumber was amazing.
